On June 13th, 61 Finalists brought some heat, and left everything on the dance floor! Beautifully choreographed and costumed solos were showcased at AT&T Stadium, leaving everyone in awe of the talent displayed. The sideline choreography, along with the official DCC Audition Kickline, made the Finals Round decisions exhilarating for the judges who chose which candidates would compete alongside the Veterans for a spot in Training Camp. During the second phase of auditions, the choreography was more challenging than previous years – longer in timing and true DCC sideline style. This third year did not disappoint! With 286 submissions, the talent level was high and quite fierce, giving the online judges a challenge to choose the most qualified candidates to move onto the Choreography Round. Video Submissions from around the globe were submitted, along with an application that allowed the candidates to tell the judges about their upbringing, education, and dance background…much more than candidates were able to share during the in-person Preliminary Round of the past. For three years, the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders have used an online platform for auditions. Each of these lend themselves to the beginning of DCC Audition Season. The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders offseason is very similar with prep classes, DCC stylized video choreography, and recruitment from college programs. These areas allow coaches to see the talent develop and what could lie ahead. OTA’s (Organized Team Activities) and minicamps are on the schedule before Training Camp begins. In the Spring, the NFL rolled into The Draft setting its sights for this season’s Veterans and “up and coming” Rookies.
